Origins of The Axe

Founded in 2021 and based in Oslo, Norway, Øks Capital is a crypto-native fund that exclusively invests in cryptocurrencies, digital tokens, and blockchain companies. “Øks” means “Axe” in Norwegian, and our name is an homage to the pioneering spirit of early Viking culture in Norway. At the same time, our logo is stylized to reflect the digitalization of finance and the next paradigm shift towards encoded peer-to-peer transacting.

Øks Capital’s aim is to actively manage exposure to the growing digital asset space on behalf of our investors. We were early participants in the crypto ecosystem and are intimately familiar with crypto market structure and the underlying technology. Our intention is to partner with sophisticated investors, financial institutions, family offices and high-net-worth individuals, to bridge the gap between smart capital and crypto.
